- Establishes supervision/support and development for staff
- Establishes/develops network with internal departments and external agencies
- Recruitment of interpreters, language assessment, selects and oversees yearly induction
- Organises 18 week community interpreting advisory course
- Manages resources/undertakes business planning
- Advises/supports agencies on cultural and religious issues of communities they deal with
- Keeps abreast of new developments
- Co-ordinates overall operational function of day to day bookings of interpreters
- Supervises/advises/supports/debriefs interpreters
- Undertakes translation work
- Monitors quality of service

| There are a further two administrative staff who help with daily office tasks: |
|
- Receive requests for interpreters and translation work
- Match the interpreters and translators to the needs of clients/service users
- Send Out necessary paper work i.e. verbal and written confirmations to the client and interpreters together with monitoring form and data entry
- Maintain electronic data of both Service users and members
- Maintain accounts e.g. invoices, receiving payments and payment to interpreters
- Help Co-ordinator with training programmes and material
