DIPLOMA IN PUBLIC SERVICE INTERPRETING (D.P.S.I.)
This course is a degree level specialisation. It is open both to suitable new students and to already experienced practitioners who wish to acquire a deeper knowledge of the public services while mastering the most advanced techniques of interpreting and learning to manage the communication process between non-English speakers and professionals in the Medical, Legal, and Local Government field. This course prepares students to sit the Institute of Linguists exams, and enables successful candidates to apply for Membership of the National Register of Public Service Interpreters.
THITA will be running the Diploma in Public Service Interpreting course (DPSI) at the end of September 2010. This is a degree level course and is open to both suitable new students and to experienced practitioners who wish to acquire a deeper knowledge of the public services (medical, legal and local government).
The course will start at the end of September 2010 with our experienced team of lecturers and language tutors guiding and supporting you throughout the academic year. The course will run weekly on Saturdays for approximately 30 weeks (4 hours per week) with the exam being sat in June 2011.
