Are you bilingual? Would you like to train as an interpreter?

We are currently recruiting members of the community who speak a language from the following language groups to be trained as community interpreters: European, Latin American, Asian, Middle Eastern, African

We are looking for people with the following qualities:

  • bilingual
  • fluent and literate in a community language and English
  • interested in working as an interpreter, link worker or bilingual community worker
  • interested in practising and developing interpreting skills
  • willing to attend THITA training sessions
  • willing to learn to use relevant terminology used within various agencies
  • ready to follow THITA's code of practice
